Water System Operations & Maintenance

Distribution System Operations & Maintenance

Field-informed operations support from California-certified operators.

Who it is for: Systems that need distribution field work covered: a small system that cannot staff the depth on its own, or a larger utility that needs extra certified hands.

What you get

Documented distribution O&M, flushing, valve and hydrant work, and preventive maintenance, plus inspection and monitoring records and coordinated compliance sampling for your system.

Overview

Exodus provides the day-to-day field operations that keep a distribution system reliable: routine operations and maintenance, flushing, valve and hydrant work, and preventive maintenance, performed by California-certified operators.

That field work is documented as it happens. Inspections, operational monitoring, and troubleshooting are recorded for your files, and compliance samples reach certified laboratories with results coordination, so operations and compliance stay in step.

What we do

  • Distribution System O&M

Routine distribution operations and maintenance, flushing, valve and hydrant work, and preventive maintenance.

    More detail

A valve that will not turn is usually discovered during an emergency, unless a program finds it first. Valves and hydrants are exercised on a preventive maintenance cycle, and each round is documented.

The program starts with the asset record: a field inventory of valves, hydrants, and related assets gives the cycle a verified baseline, and condition notes from each round feed repair and replacement priorities.

  • Field Inspections & System Monitoring

Routine inspections, operational monitoring, and troubleshooting with documentation.

  • Sampling Collection & Coordination

Collection and delivery of compliance samples to certified laboratories, with results coordination.

    See Water Sampling Services
  • Emergency Response Support

After-hours and emergency operational support, as contracted.

Need the certified operator seat itself, or on-call operator coverage? That is our Operator of Record service. See Operator of Record services
